More Figure Drawings

The last batch of drawings from 350r. Awesome class. ^3 hrs - Out of class drawing for the final. I spent quite a bit of time on the face, so I didn't get all the way finished.

^And a closeup.

^ This is a repeat of one from an earlier post, but I got a better photo of it.

^3 hrs. - Another out of class drawing for the final. Natural light makes for very soft drawings.

Character Design

This is a small part of a big final for character design. It has some anatomical issues, but I have to call it good.

More figures from 350r.

^1.5 hrs--I'm not as happy with this one. There are some good things happening, though.

^2 hrs.--Drapery practice. I would have liked another 2 hours on this one.

^2.5 hrs.--More drapery.

^2 hrs?--One of my favourites from the entire semester.

gas station

Minus the gas pump. It hid too much.

Figures again

More figures from 350r. Getting into midterm now.^1.5 hours

^1 hr?

^2 hours--Spent alot of time getting the proportions right. Not happy with his left hand.

Dragon

I decided I needed to do something just for fun, so I quickly painted this little guy from my character design class.

Figures

Four more figures from 350r^1hr

^15 min. Newsprint.

^1hr. Some drapery practice (with some Bro B. additions...that would be all the dark areas).

^1hr. Spent more time on the face/head this time. Ha.

More Figures

Here are some figures from 350 so far.^about 45 min.

^ about 2 hrs. Should have spent more time on the face. This one is the most recent.

^ about 25 min. Again with the face.

^ about 45 min. I think this one was from the very beginning.

Sketch Dump

Some sketches from last semester's sketchbook (with the exception of the princess-type in the top corner...she's from this semester).

Environment

Another Silhouette

Preparing for another character design assignment: emulation. I think I'll ditch the lantern, though. It doesn't fit at all.

Onward! Ever onward!

He needs color. I'm actually thinking of pitching a story for the senior film around this guy.

Freaky

Yup. Freaky.

Final Silhouettes

The final pieces. I just realized I gave Ryan my only finished version of the 2048 army guy. Whoops.

Geishas

I never posted the Geisha due to the fact that I was always deficient by two. So here they are.

Little Preview

Here's a little preview of a piece I've been doing off and on for a while. One of these days I'll finish it. If you know who it is, go ahead and pat yourself on the back.

Update: You can see the finished painting here.

Silhouette-ness

Some silhouettes from Ryan's character design class.

Arrrr.....

A Piratey type. He needs some color. And I need to be better about posting...

More sketches

Some recent sketches from my sketchbook.

A Figure

A figure sketch from drawing session this week and a happy accident. (This "Happy accident" occured while attempting to photograph irish hard shoes. Didn't realize that the camera was set on long exposure. Whoops.)

A coconut-vending wench

A little study for a concept design project. Painter + tablet

Figures

Some figures from last weeks drawing sessions.

Winter...

Yeah, I know. I already posted this one on deviantart. I wanted to post some figure drawings today, but can't get decent photos of them. Tomorrow, perhaps. This one was just a quickie to relieve some stress.

Lifeguard Design

A crappy simple lifeguard design for a story idea I had some time ago.

Selections from last semester

I've been trying my hand at this CSS thing, hoping to create a custom layout for this thing...but so far I can't do it.

Meanwhile, enjoy a small tasting of last semester's sketchbook.
